This month, Measurement Resources is thrilled to highlight Elizabeth Pafford, our Managing Director. Elizabeth is the cornerstone of our team, ensuring we meet our goals efficiently by keeping work organized and the team on track. Her leadership and attention to detail are essential to our success.
Elizabeth joined MRC in December 2015 as a Research Assistant, her dedication and talent soon led her to take on increasing responsibilities and different roles on the team. She has served as our Managing Director since 2021. In this role Elizabeth supports our team of associates in delivering their services to meet the standards of MRC’s best practices and values. This includes ensuring high quality products, delivered on time, with high client satisfaction and staff fulfillment.
A huge part of her role is project management, and she often serves as project manager and lead facilitator for services such as:
- Community Needs Assessments & Strategic Planning
- Program Evaluations
- Impact Measurement Frameworks
- Organizational 360 Degree Assessments & Employee Engagement Surveys
- SureImpact Support & Implementation
Elizbeth is currently supporting our partners at The Collaborative Arts Impact Initiative (CAII) and The Columbus Urban League (CUL). The Collaborative Arts Impact Initiative is an innovative pilot collective aimed at transforming how the arts communicate their significance. The CAII pilot project will provide non-profit arts organizations and artists with newly developed Customer Impact Management (CIM) software aimed to revolutionize how arts outcomes, impact, and public value are measured (Learn more here). The Columbus Urban League is an advocate and resource for Black and urban communities that is dedicated to growing wealth, education, earning power and small businesses while also supporting strong families.
Elizabeth has served:
- Mid-Ohio Food Collective
- State of Ohio Department of Health
- State of Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services
- Dress for Success
- The American Academy of Pediatrics
- United Methodist Conference of West Ohio
- Alcohol, Drug, and Mental Health Board of Franklin County
- AID Funding Collaborative, Cleveland Ohio
- Center of Hope Family Services, Toledo Ohio
- Big Brothers Big Sisters, San Diego, and Bay Area California
- Western Youth Services, Orange County, California
Most of her work – from Strategic Plans to Needs Assessments, to Social Return on Investment – involves Impact Evaluation & Planning, a powerful evaluation and organizational advancement approach that answers the “what, why, and why not” questions that lead to deeper understanding and better outcomes.
A day-in-the-life of Elizabeth starts with checking on the status of the team’s upcoming deliverables and invoices. She then looks at staff time allocation and staff workflow and makes any adjustments needed to keep our team of associates supported. Elizabeth will then shift her focus to her own project tasks, which often involve collaborating and consulting with our clients to make sure they have everything they need to be successful. She reviews final deliverables and contributes to proposals and other scopes of work. Elizabeth is always available to assist our staff in their own decision making and time management, keeping the team motivated and moving closer to our goals.
Outside of work, Elizabeth loves meeting new people and catching up with her neighbors. She always prioritizes spending quality time with her husband and kids, whether it’s playing games or going for bike rides. Anything she does with her family is time well spent.
