Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence Wins Data for Greater Good Giveaway 2021

The results of our inaugural Data for Greater Good Giveaway are in!

First, let us begin by saying that we were amazed by the response we received, which included a total of 108 nominations on behalf of 93 unique organizations, spanning 15 states from New York to Hawaii. We were incredibly moved by the passion the applicants bring to their missions and inspired by the projects they presented in their applications.

We are excited to announce that the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence (OAESV) is the recipient of Measurement Resources’ Data for Greater Good Giveaway 2021!

The award of $5,000 in in-kind services will help OAESV to advocate on behalf of survivors with an accurate depiction of how sexual violence is impacting Ohio residents, with an emphasis on collecting qualitative data. Having this data will allow the organization to better advocate for more funding for its sexual assault programs; rally against systemic and structural changes that have consistently assisted in perpetuating sexual violence; advocate for legislation that will support and protect survivors; and provide support that survivors are requesting, inclusive of different pathways to healing. Additionally, having this data will empower OAESV to work toward preventing sexual violence by incorporating a public health lens for all educational programs and awareness.

The work will take place in early 2022, and we’ll share the results via our blog, social media, eNews and a webinar. Stay tuned for more!
