Employee Spotlight: Harley Vossler

Measurement Resources is excited to announce the start of our new monthly recognition spotlight of the many valued researchers, analysts, and consultants on the Measurement Resources Company (MRC) team. This month we feature Harley Vossler, our Senior Research Analyst. Harley has made significant contributions to our nonprofit & government partners.

Harley joined MRC 4 years ago. Prior to joining, he was doing mission critical research and work around COVID monitoring and projections for The Ohio State University in partnership with the Governor of Ohio’s Office. He has since been a vital part of the research and development teams’ projects & initiatives. Harley’s background in statistics prepared him for providing support on quantitative research work, from describing the impact our clients make to researching needs in communities across the country. This includes working closely with clients to co-create measurement frameworks, surveys, and research plans. Harleys passion for data analytics, visualization, and client satisfaction shine through in all his projects.

Harley is currently supporting our partners at Leadership Columbus and Ruling Our Experiences (ROX). ROX is a Columbus based national non-profit that provides research-driven resources and programs to help girls use their voice, rule their experiences, and embrace their confidence. ROX is the country’s only girl-serving organization conducting original research with nationally representative samples of adolescent girls. Leadership Columbus is a Columbus based non-profit that provides premier education and training for emerging and existing leaders in the Columbus area. Leadership Columbus has educated, empowered, equipped, and prepared more than 3,300 individuals to become the current and future trustees in and for the Columbus community.

Below are some other partners Harley has served:

On all these projects, Harley served as a Fractional Performance Manager, collecting, and analyzing data to help these organizations measure outcomes and improve lives.

A typical “day-in-the-life” of Harley starts with ensuring that all his fractional data clients are supported and have the necessary reports and analyses they need to succeed. Most of his day is spent in Excel and R (statistical coding software) and Tableau, working on data management, cleaning, and analysis. With his collaborative spirit, Harley often finds himself meeting with his colleagues, helping to address any data related tasks or questions they may have. Other activities include building and monitoring surveys or other data collection, secondary data collection, and literature reviews.

Outside of work, Harley enjoys hiking and finding new parks to walk his rescue pup Zayda. Harley also enjoys cooking and trying new food around Columbus. Harley is a big soccer fan, particularly of the Columbus Crew and Tottenham Hotspur.
