Our Team
Measurement Resources’ team brings together strategic public sector planning experts, social determinants of health researchers, facilitators, and industrial and organizational psychologists. We are experts in gathering and analyzing the most relevant data and information, and coupling that analysis with strategic community engagement initiatives, change management and implementation science. Our work requires design thinking, the collection and analysis of secondary data, design and implementation of primary data collection strategies and analysis, and scientific writing.

Sheri Chaney Jones, MA
Founder & CEO
Sheri Chaney Jones is a social entrepreneur, who has helped government, non-profit organizations and social enterprises gather and use data to change actions, outcomes and lives for more than 16 years. Sheri is the founder of Measurement Resources Company, and co-founder and CEO of SureImpact, a cloud-based solution that helps social sector organizations and collective impact initiatives measure and communicate their unique social impact. An author and internationally recognized expert, she regularly keynotes conferences and events, where she speaks about high-performance measurement cultures, data-driven strategy and decision-making, and using data to attract more funding. Sheri is also the author of the award-winning book, Impact & Excellence: Data-driven Strategies for Aligning Mission, Culture, and Performance in Nonprofit and Government Organizations, published by Jossey-Bass in 2014.

Charly Bauer
Executive Director
Charly Bauer leads our team of data analysts and subject matter experts to help purpose-driven organizations use measurement to move their missions forward. Prior to joining MRC in early 2022, Charly served as C-suite executive and co-founder of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, where he supported the growth of the company from one to 58 scoop shops in 16 cities. He also managed the company’s philanthropy efforts and led the organization through the process of becoming a Certified B Corporation in 2013. He currently serves on nonprofit boards, including BuddyUp for Life and Besa, and has previously served on the boards of Leadership Columbus, the Short North Business Association and Short North Alliance, and the North Market Development Authority, where Jeni’s had its first retail location. Prior to Jeni’s, Charly served as a product manager at OCLC, Inc., the global library technology and research organization

Elizabeth Pafford, MPA
Managing Director
Elizabeth is an expert in applied social research, using her skills to improve the capacity of social sector organizations to increase social impact and operational efficiencies. Elizabeth provides assessment and consultation services to an array of health and human service agencies, local governments, state departments, universities and coalitions. Elizabeth is passionate about helping social sector leaders define and measure success, and helps agencies develop meaningful, actionable strategic plans, benchmark performance against key organizational goals, and demonstrate impact. Her areas of expertise include mental health treatment, HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, substance abuse treatment, offender reentry, youth development, arts and homelessness. Elizabeth has a Master of Arts in Public Affairs from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociocultural Studies from Bethel University in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Harley Vossler, MS
Senior Research Analyst
Harley is an experienced quantitative analyst and researcher. He works to improve organizations’ effectiveness through encouraging robust measures of inputs, outputs, and outcomes. He utilizes his skills to help our clients develops plans, assessments, and impact reports based on organizational, population, and community level data for understanding impacts and programmatic improvements. Harley designs and implements research strategies and methods to improve our clients programs for increased efficiencies and results. Prior to joining MRC, he spent time as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Ohio State University, where he provided daily analysis and surveillance of COVID-19 for the Ohio Governor’s Office. Harley holds a Master of Science in Biostatistics from The Ohio State University, and a B.A. in Biology from Miami University.

Emily Wolfe-Sherrie, PhD
Senior Research Associate
Emily is a skilled social scientist with international experience in qualitative and quantitative methodology, trained as a biocultural anthropologist. At Measurement Resources Company (MRC), Emily designs, implements, and analyzes qualitative data, collaborating with the quantitative team to integrate both data types for comprehensive understanding. She has conducted global fieldwork, presented at national conferences, and published in professional journals. Emily specializes in maternal and child wellbeing, community, and family support. She has taught at multiple universities and excels at making research findings accessible. Emily has conducted participant observation, interviews, and focus groups in multiple countries and languages, focusing on underrepresented populations. She is adept at collecting community-determined needs and analyzing data to prioritize and amplify local voices. Trained in crisis intervention, she provides safe spaces during data collection and dissemination. She holds a Bachelor’s from the University of New Mexico, a Master’s from Washington State University, and a Doctorate from The Ohio State University.

Liesel Seryak, PhD
Research Associate
Liesel specializes in enhancing nonprofit and government agency efficiency through research and evaluation, developing insightful reports, and conducting data collection and analysis to drive programmatic improvements. She has expertise in public and environmental health and has conducted extensive research on a wide range of subject areas. At Measurement Resources Company (MRC) Liesel develops comprehensive reports utilizing organizational, population, and community-level data to identify impacts and suggest programmatic improvements. Additionally, she conducts primary data collection through interviews and focus groups, synthesizing the results to inform her analyses. Liesel has been published in multiple peer-reviewed publications, including the American Journal of Public Health. Liesel holds her PhD and Master’s in Public Health from The Ohio State University, and her Bachelor’s from the University of Dayton. In addition to multiple research roles within The Ohio State University, she has also served two years as a high school science teacher.

Alissa Schultz
Senior Consultant
Alissa Schultz is a strategic and tactical leader with experience in transformation initiatives across the healthcare and technology sectors. With master’s degrees in nursing/ health systems management and industrial and organizational psychology, Alissa brings a unique blend of clinical and organizational expertise to Measurement Resources Company (MRC). Alissa’s passion for data, change management, fostering workplace culture, and driving continuous improvement are evident in her collaborative approach and commitment to achieving impactful results. Prior to joining MRC, Alissa was a Consulting Manager at Accenture, where she led immersive learning experiences for healthcare clients, creating cultural and strategic transformation impact roadmaps for organizations to chart their future. She also held key positions at OhioHealth, including Advisor for Population Health Services and Senior Consultant, where she led population health and primary care transformation initiatives such as SDOH and preventative health screenings. She also developed programs to improve quality metrics and navigate changes to value-based care.

Cailynn Fox
Research Assistant
Cailynn specializes in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analyses. She contributes to the Measurement Resources Company (MRC) research team’s qualitative data collection and analysis on behalf of a wide range of nonprofit and government clients. She has used her training in cultural anthropology and nonprofit leadership and skills acquired through previous roles of studying COVID-19’s impact on education and in marketing, communications, and donor relations to help MRC evaluate major community health initiatives across Ohio funded by CDC and recurring programs for art education for disabled students and career advancement in ecology in addition to conducting strategic planning for major Ohio nonprofits. Her skills combine qualitative data collection and analysis with extensive secondary research at MRC, which has assisted clients in comprehensively understanding the various factors affecting their organizations’ ability to drive social change and impact the communities they serve. Cailynn received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology with a focus in cultural anthropology and a minor in Spanish from The Ohio State University, and an associate degree from Columbus State Community College.

Nola Cline
Marketing & Communications Manager
Nola oversees the development and implementation of marketing and communication initiatives for the Measurement Resources Company (MRC) team. Prior to joining MRC, Nola was a Marketing Coordinator at our sister company SureImpact, where she actively participated in marketing and sales initiatives. Additionally, she contributed significantly to the Warren Bennis Leadership Experience, an organization committed to fostering leadership skills among students to prepare them for future roles in leadership and problem-solving. During her tenure, she held positions including Marketing Chair (2023) and Vice President of External Affairs (2024). Nola is a recent graduate from the University of Cincinnati Lindner College of Business, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Certificate in Professional Writing.

Matt Jones
COO
Matt is the backbone of Measurement Resources Company (MRC), ensuring that the organization runs efficiently and effectively across all departments. He oversees critical areas such as accounting, human resources, marketing, and technology, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the company’s smooth functioning. Before joining MRC, Matt honed his operational skills at his ten-year career at Manheim Ohio, where he was instrumental in streamlining processes and enhancing productivity. His background also includes five years in the technical side of broadcast journalism. Matt received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The Ohio State University in1998.
