Christian Hall joined Measurement Resources Company in February 2022. As a Senior Research Analyst, Christian is responsible for managing and conducting quantitative and qualitative data analysis for various programs, organizational evaluation projects, and other client research initiatives.
Born and raised outside of Richmond, Virginia, he attended Virginia Tech to obtain an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Biology.
“My parents raised us to work hard and ask questions,” said Christian. “They encouraged us to be independent, to think for ourselves, and to be a little bit skeptical.”
After completing his undergraduate degree, Christian accepted a position teaching English to grade school children in Cixi, China.
“I was really passionate about teaching,” he said. “I loved the ‘aha moments’ and helping people get there. One of my personal values is being able to facilitate insights and help people connect the dots using information that they already have floating around in their heads.”
Upon his return from China, he moved to Boone, North Carolina, where he worked as a research and data analysis consultant at Appalachian State University, pursued a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology, and collaborated in writing and publishing research articles on psychometrics in the field of clinical psychology, including Replicability and Revision of the EcoWellness Inventory: Development of a Brief Measure of EcoWellness and Incremental Validity of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Mechanisms for Anxiety and Panic Symptomology.
Christian has also completed coursework toward his PhD, and just prior to joining Measurement Resources, served as a research assistant at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.
“In hindsight, Measurement Resources feels like a natural step forward for me,” said Christian. “It was a simplification in some ways, and a great opportunity in other ways.”
Christian lives and works remotely from Boone. When not crunching data, he enjoys playing the guitar and songwriting, running, biking, video games, and cooking.
